1998

“Zdrava SH.P.K”, based in Lushnje, commenced its commercial operations in 1998, a time when the market economy concept was just emerging, in contrast to the previous totalitarian economic planning system. The company initially established a small workshop for pickles processing on the outskirts of Lushnje. The collaborative efforts of the 6 Zdrava brothers infused a new dimension into their philosophies and goals. This led to the birth of the company name “Zdrava SH.P.K”, derived from the last name and birthplace of the 6 brothers. Zdravë village is situated in the Kozare administrative unit of the Kuçovë municipality, Berat district. The company’s philosophy was centered around guaranteeing quality and competitive pricing for its customers.

2003

The initial success in the early years prompted the company to take further steps towards expanding its operations. In 2003, “Zdrava SH.P.K” invested in enhancing the quality and quantity of its product range. Additionally, in 2003, the company diversified its activities into the construction sector.

2006

By 2006, “Zdrava SH.P.K” had invested in acquiring the Former Boiler building of the Plastic Factory in Lushnje. Subsequently, the company reconstructed the building from scratch, transforming it into new facilities for pickle production and other product additions to their range over the years. In 2006, the company also acquired several new machines to enhance product quality and safety. Zdrava continued its dynamic growth by expanding its product variety, including items such as jams, peppers with cottage cheese, traditional sausages, tomato sauce, canned olives, etc.

2007

In 2007, “Zdrava SH.P.K” ventured into a new activity in the furniture sector, catering to warehouses, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, etc.

2010

The strategic location in the Myzeqe area (Lushnje) and the high productivity of farmers in the region, especially in tomato production, propelled the company towards another significant milestone.

In 2010, Zdrava made a substantial investment of over €250,000 to acquire machinery for tomato concentrate production, marking a pioneering move in Albania’s fruit and vegetable processing industry.

This investment led to Albania’s debut in exporting Tomato Concentrate to countries like Kosovo, Serbia, and Macedonia for industrial use, positioning Albania alongside major exporters like Greece, Iran, Portugal, and China in Europe and the Balkans.

2013

In 2013, Zdrava Sh.P.K opened its central warehouse in Sweden, thereby fulfilling its distribution objectives across the entire Scandinavian region. At that time, the company boasted approximately 55 distinct products, which it distributed to countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, as well as Germany and Finland, all made possible through its collaboration with ADELINA GROSS AB. Following this success, the company expanded its exports to include Belgium, Ukraine, Kosovo, Serbia, and Macedonia.

2018

Building on its success in international markets, Zdrava secured a cooperation contract in 2018 with the Albanian-American company “ALB-USA INC” for all its product lines.

2020

In 2020, Zdrava expanded into the UK market, staying true to its core principle:

That of preserving traditional products and recipes.

Our company operates in the agro-processing sector following the HACCP PLAN and is ISO 22000:2018 certified. Thanks to our quality standards and market presence in Albania and internationally, in 2020, with support from the Albanian State (AZHBR) and the EU, the company invested approximately €5,000,000 in new machinery. This investment aimed to elevate product quality and ensure consumer safety. The new machinery includes tomato concentrate production and packaging equipment with a BRIX of 28-33%, in an aseptic line. This technological leap positions our company as the top leader in fruit and vegetable production and preservation in the Balkans.
